Several of the early versions of the Declaration of Independence (DoI), prepared or printed within two weeks of July 4, 1776, are preserved in the Amer. Philosophical Soc. (APS), in Phila. In 1976, the APS offered facsimile reproductions of several of its early versions of the DoI.
